For those of you with existing aux switches, how are the accessories of your choice, lights etc wired to those aux switches?

Just make sure that when you are putting the pigtails into the plug head that you have the view correct so that you know if you are orientated by looking at the pin side of the plug or the back end of the plug other wise you will have things wired to the opposite pin. Ask me how I know this!!
As already mentioned, you can print the pdf's from ram body builder.

Quick Q: Why when I build a Longhorn 3500 on Ram's site, and add aux switches, does it always makes me remove the Luxury Group?

I understand, but then how do the boys above have the aux switches on Laramie trucks? Do you have the aux switches?

I believe that those functions are accessed through the EVIC when the aux switches are added.

I wondered about that when I got my truck, it seems like a waste to have the same controls in the touch screen (uconnest 8.5) and as buttons on the panel. I just figured it was a fail safe incase the computer fails.

Maybe you can get the AUX switches if you get the 8.4/8.5 Uconnect option?

According to the Ram build, the aux switches are available for all models of Ram providing that you let go of an option or two. Seems like a lot of Tradesman models have the aux switch option.

I hoping I can find a truck with the switches since I have always mounted work lights, winch, radar detector etc. Looking forward to NOT drilling holes in my dash for toggles ever again.

With the 8.4AN, and Luxury Group, adding the switches requires the removal of the features of the Luxury Group. The price is lowered by over $500, so I don't think it's a simple "relocate the controls" thing. You lose the heated seats, etc.

Maybe it's just a glitch in the build system. Maybe not. But this kind of stuff drives me crazy when I even think about a new truck. I won't even go into the manual shift transfer case not being available in any trim other than Tradesman. Makes me love my SLT all the more.

You don't loose the heated or vented seats, just the push button switches and have to use the 8.4 screen to activate them.
