Unless I missed it, does anyone have or use the S-Pod auxiliary switch panel ? A little on the pricey side, but sure looks like a nice system with a very nice "plug & play" set up.

Universal with Mini Bezel - sPOD

$435.00 - ‎In stock
NOTE !!!! This panel may not fit some interior trim packages on the Dodge RAM, please verify with us first. Please look at the spec sheet in the photos for reference on the size of the panel. Universal System for use in many trucks and UTVs. This system includes 7" Mini switch panel. The sPOD switch panel is easy to install ...

Thanks

I have them in my Jeep Wrangler they work well. I opted for the factory upfitter for my new 3500. I did not see a good mounting bracket for the RAM.

Here's a cheaper option......

If you have the center console you can do what I did

The spod I dont recall seeing when I was doing research for my switches so obviously from above I went homemade. The price seems high but it appears pretty complete, nice and sanitary as well. IIRC the switches are about $15 a piece but that will depend on exactly which ones you use, actuator with legend another 10 each, I used a painless fuse block I had left over from a previous vehicle project. I think I had less than $200 in my project but I did not need to buy some of the stuff like the fuse block and a few hours of my time. So perhaps it really is not too bad a deal all things considered. Had I seen that i may very well have gone that route

While I like the look of the aev unit you are going to have to drill a hole in the dash somewhere to get the wires up there. It does sit in the little cubby/depression on the dash but I could not get the the plastic/rubber tray out to see what was under it. Also unsure how much if any room is there above and behind the center stack to run the wires as there are hvac vents on each side of it and the radio right there. I did not pull the center stack to see for sure may be quite possible. One thing for sure though that aev unit is not going to be complete that is just the switch housing. Next thing from past experience on my 01 any lights up high are a real pain at night unless you can dim the heck out of them as they are quite bright in the dark though you can get the switches with various types of lighting or none at all.

Thanks for the reply's. Obviously I missed BarryG's original post when I was searching. Nice looking set up, and appears similar to the Spod. I do have the full console and that is why I was looking at the Spod. In my 95 I made up a custom panel that fit where the ashtray was, and things were easier to wire up since everything didn't go through the computer. I have looked at the AEV, but not a fan of having the switches that high on the dash, plus I would still have to do the fuses, relays, and other additional wiring. I have seen the Spods in Wranglers and it is a pretty impressive system. If I would have ordered this truck, I would have gotten the uplifter factory switches. Thanks again for the reply's.
