Any chance we will get to use avatars again?

I know Steve said they don't have, is because of bandwidth, but also to speed things up for dial-up users. I wonder if we could have them, but have the option not to show them for those that do? Doesn't matter to me either way, though.

Yep, those are the reasons and no they won't be coming back. Avatars use a LOT of bandwidth which is better used elsewhere.
