I just had to say how awesome my truck sounds now with a straight pipe and 5"! It's way better than the Magnaflow muffler. Just one question though. Why does it smoke more without a muffler? Does the muffler catch some of the smoke? Just a silly question. Thanks

Eric

Ah I love that sound! Nothing I like better than hearing a muffler-less cummins hummin down the road! "I dont smoke, but my truck does"

Ian

I let my buddy drive my truck so I could hear what it sounded like and the sound definitely didn't match the truck. Don't get me wrong it sounded awesome - it's just funny seeing a pickup truck that sounds like a mufflerless semi. Mine sure turns alot of heads and pisses people off!!! It's like music to my ear.

well, I wouldn't be so bold to say that my truck actually sounds like a semi... there are noises that a 14-19 liter engine makes that a little 6 liter engine just can't make...

but, it definately sounds like a big dump truck or something...

sounds GOOD, but even w/ the stacks, it sounded more like a "baby" 18 wheeler than the real deal...

Forrest

God I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

There is other people like me, even my wife and kids love it what a family!!!!!!! :D

Torque This - I saw it on here from one of your posts but couldnt remember where I got it. Hope i didnt break any (T) Trademark laws :-laf

Not a problem! BTW, yes I have a straight pipe 5" system also... LOVE IT!

You got it Bryan! You'll love the strait pipe 5". The girls love it too! We need to have another meet. I got the Carter pusher pusher pump on there and I'm sittin at 22psi at idle. I'll take a look at the pics. That should be cool. Thanks for the pics

Eric

I normally don't like to brag but when my truck dynoed it was the first i heard it from outside the truck. After hearing a lot of others, mine was one of the sweetest sounding of all.

I love the 5" straight sound!

after i put my stacks on i fell in love, and now i think i have a hearing problem ..... im lovin every minute of it!!!! an i WILL NOT go back i just need a amp in my cell phone speaker cause i cant hear a thing on the freeway at 80 or 85 :-laf

Eric. . the way the regulators are in the pumps. . it will just add the pressure of the two pumps together... They are just a ball and spring... outlet pressure on one side. . inlet on the other (plus the spring. )... Pusher is 8 psi. . stocker is 14psi. . Inlet to first pump 0 psi outlet 8psi... . inlet to the second. . 8 psi... outlet 22...

Just got mine straight piped with 5 inch from turbo back. Girls dig it. I love going through town and hearing the echo. Have not got pulled over yet. Cant wait till black smoke poors out too. Still need injectors

98 24v silver 4x4 QC edge comp, spa gauges, afe intake, suncoast transmission, 33 BFG M/T 5" straight pipe

Who makes 5" kits and do they sell them without the mifflers? I mean, do they sell the 5" piece to replace the muffler so I can straight pipe it?

Thanks

Phil

Before the stacks, I had a 5" www.bigexhaust.com system. They sell other brands as well. I got the kit with the Muffler delete pipe. The drone was horibble at around 2100-2200 RPMs, but the Dynaflex resonator fixed that. :D It sounds great.

Now, with the stacks, it's even better. Oo. :D
