Awsome Paint scheme

saw this one today going by in the other direction on the highway. didn't get a good enough look to tell the year but here goes: Ram 3500, silver on top an intense blue on the bottom.

blue started where they used to pu the middle silver stripe and ran all the way down. is this a custom job? or could we really have gotten that at one time?

I think your talking about the "waterfall" paint scheme,yes you could get it all the time,but only on a 3500. There is one like that around here too,its a good looking combo.

... unless it was a non-factory two-tone paint job, the "silver" would have to have been Light Driftwood, and the model year would have to be '99 or older. If memory serves, '99 was the last year of the two-tone (Waterfall) paint scheme on the 3500.



Interestingly enough, I tried to order a '98. 5 3500 4x4 QC with the following Waterfall paint scheme: Black on the bottom half (what else would you expect ) with Deep Amethyst on the top. I thought that would look *****in! However, my local Dodge dealer "let the air out of my tires" when he pointed out that the color proposal was NOT an allowed Waterfall paint combination. To that end I ordered a BLACK 2500 QC 4x4 Sport. Hoowah!

last year somebody keyed the PS of my truck just below where the stripe would be. I fixed it but the factory driftwood touch up paint was really the color of a DC-3, now the scratch is sealed and smoth but the color of an airplane!



I was thinking of painting the center stripe white. I have seen the combo white/driftwood/white and it looked nice, but I think silver/intense blue would look even better!
