have a dana 60 in my 92 d250 with a getrag360 and looking to gear it up to get better mileage and top end, it currently has a 3. 55 and is not used for towing just getting around and having fun, what ratios are available and where is the best place to find, i am hoping for around a 3. 08

Yeah a 3. 08 is as high as you can go, you have to buy a whole different rear-end though, the housing is machined different. That would definitely gear you up though.

It would have to come from a truck that has 3. 08 gears, haha. I mean, if you could find one out of a dodge, that'd be the best.

Your '92 D250 should have a D70. The early 1st. gen. 3spd auto's used that ratio, with a few rare Getrags.

That ratio was popular with Ford in the late 70's and 80's, maybe do a swap.

I doubt your fuel milage will improve, however your top end will:) The 3. 54 stock ratio with the Getrag is a good combo and should get you close to 95/100 mph at WOT. You might consider a governor spring kit for more top end.

is the axles in a 250 van the same, on car-parts.com there are no local 3. 07 axles and way overpriced for trucks but there are boo coos of van axles cheap with options of 2. 71, 2. 94, and 3. 21 and up

The 250 vans used light weight axles with 5 bolt wheel pattern. They were mostly Dodge semi float axles not Dana.
