Axle Ratio Options

I was cruising the net today and came across a page advertising differential parts. They listed several ratios availabe for the Dodge Ram so I called them up to find out if they carry parts for the Dana 80, which they do. They have parts to do any of the ratios listed on their web page. It is $375 for the kit which includes both gears, bearings and seals.



Being a 2wd drive guy I forgot to ask if they do Dana 70 & 60s for the front end LOL Anyway the distributor is Drivetrain Specialists, call 800-722-9164 for more info. They are located in Tulsa Oklahoma. Just thought I'd pass this onto you guys who seem to wish there were more ratios available.

you can also try http://www.reiderracing.com/ they can do about the same thing, but the website leaves you with a few more phone calls to make than the site you mentioned.



I was really looking forward to changing my Ring&Pinion out for a 3. 31, but was looking at price tags that would never offset the gain in fuel mileage.

SO I have nixed that idea, and am going to put a PE COMP box, and am hoping for a solid 1MPG improvement on the highway mileage. (A Moparguy BHAF should also help in that goal )

Reider Racing

I have done quite a bit of business over the years with Reider Racing and have been completely satisfied with them... always had the parts I wanted in stock, delivered them as stated with no cheap sh*t bearing substitutions (as I've heard others used to from time to time).



That said, I figure if I ever decide to change the ratios in my Ram, I'll give Randy's Ring and Pinion (located in Everett, WA) my (parts) business. In addition to being local, everyone that I have talked to that have personally dealt with them have been extremely satisfied.
