Archived Axle shaft hub nut size???

I need to replace front axle shaft u-joint 1st thing in morning and I want to be ready, Dose any one know what size the axle shaft nut is?

Any tricks on getting the hub & bearing out?

alota penatrating oil on the hub bolts, if you are going you reuse or new hub abit of anti sieze inside of the hub to spindle and some on the spline too. had to replace mine last yr had a shop do it just because of the issues others have had with it sticking, had them anti sieze abit on it.

I did the penetrating oil every day for a week prior to starting the job. Mine just came right out with no fuss. Do a search on the topic if you have trouble. There are numerous ways to pop them out if they are stuck.

I soaked it w/ penetrating oil and used a large gear puller.

Now I am soaking the short axle (w/ u-joint still stuck in it) in penetrating oil. The u-joint caps came out of the long end of the axel (w/ extreme vice operations) but I could not budge it from the other side.

Needless to say the wife & kids went to the lake w/o me today.
