I have a 1999 3/4 ton 4x4 ext cab. There is a grinding niose in the rear axle could be inner bearings. I'm towing a 14,000 lb camper and would like to have the 1 ton axle. Do i have to swap out the front also? Is this something i can do without spending a million to do it? Will the brakes be compatable with my master cylinder? Can i keep my axle and improve the guts? HELP the BLUE OX is down for the count any info would be great.

If your truck is disabled, might want to post this in the 'Truck 911' forum

Sorry, but I cant be of help with the axle situation. Have you priced a differential rebuild yet? Might be all that you need.

good luck
