KEY is to ease into the throttle, I don't use any type of stop on the throttle. I practice in the driveway, ease into the throttle until the engine responds, then I mash the throttle and catch it at 3000 rpm. Takes a bit of practice but it's not hard to do. I can't stress enough initailly easing into the throttle, the initial throttle movement is what generates the biggest puff of smoke. I normally pass at under 10%, I have a #6 and the 3000 GSK.
