Lately i have been listening carefully to the way different diesels sounds as i am out and about. I never had any idea the B 5. 9 was in so many different vehicles. I hear buses, fex ex trucks, case backhoe's, ford medium dutys, step vans all with the distinctive cummins sound. This engine seems to me to be the small block chevy of diesel engines. Listen around you will notice alot of little 5. 9's rumbling around town in about every kind of vehicle you can imagine. My question is this. What diesel engine is been produced most in the world. If it is not the 5. 9 how does it compare in production. a quote by someone else "one man's noise is another man's music"
