Hello to all

I bought a 2 Low kit from B&D for my baby.

My question is any advise on the install of said item??

Rev is to fast to keep from riding the clutch for me.

Thanks.

See Ya:) :D

This is a very easy install. No special advise... hardest part is deciding where to mount the switch. If you got a little sheet of instructions, thats all there is to it. Post any specific questions... I am glad to help.

Hardest part for me was to connect the smaller vacuum line supplied by BD to the larger drive motor vent tube. There was not a supplied fitting so I had to make my own.

No suggestions on the install, it's pretty staright forward. The hardest part I had was fishing the wire through the grommet in the firewall. A couple points after you get things hooked up; flip the switch to the "on" position before you throw it into 4wd. A easy way to tell if you are in 2-lo is that the 4wd light on the dash should be "off". If you are in 2-lo, and shut the truck off, and then restart, you will be in 4 lo, not 2-lo (check for the light on the dash). Those were the only things that had me baffled initially... Good luck.

Wiz. . thanks for including the tips on operating this system... I had forgot to add those! Another way to tell if it is working... turn a tight corner. 4WD will kind of want to hop the front end around... 2WD Low is very smooth.

This kit is quality, and if you back up trailers once in a while, it is well worth the price.

Thanks.

It looks pretty easy. My son (13) and I have done all the work on my baby so far other than Linex.

Just our of curiosity where did you'all mount your switch??

Thanks again.

See Ya

Chris :D

CRuD,

I had pulled out my ashtray to mount my brake controller in the void, and I mounted the switch below that. For the power source, I spliced into the lighter. You can't see the switch, but it's easy to get to. If I ever sell the truck and pull things off, there will be no holes that show, as they will be covered up by the ashtray. ;)
