[B]Polished valve cover and intake elbow[/B]

I am looking to polish the valve cover on my 01 ctd, along with the intake elbow. BUT I would also like to get a banks High ram intake insted and polish that. But nobody around knows the HP gains etc of them! Where is a good place, reasonable price to get em polished at? Has anyone done this before? hows it look?

THE High rams have shown an actual 11H. P LOSS on the dyno with normal power adders (Comp , injectors etc. )

That 11 hp drop was on one truck only... ... ... ..... not very scientific or beleivable.

Someone else who did a dyno comparison saw a 5hp loss. Given the poor cross sectional design of it I would expect it to cause a HP loss.

well that sucks about the power loss, It would look good under the hood but I cant justify spending 280 or more to lose horsepower. Anyone have pics of there valvecover and/or elbow polished?? and any idea on the cost?

TMTT, do you still have your High Ram and if so, how do you like it?

I remember seeing TMTT out at TiM last year, but forgot to ask how he likes it. I have heard it makes little to no difference for performance, just thought I would ask someone that has one.

Oh me Heck I didn't notice any loss. In fact it's theory make all the best sense in the world . . kinda like having a boost resevoir right at the intake.
