SPS62 Leaking Oil!
I installed a new MBRP 5" exhaust on Friday, on Saturday while driving around I noticed puffs of blue smoke streaming out of my exhaust after setting at stop lights and driving up my driveway. When I got home my tailpipe was coated with oil on the inside.
I started a different post asking if it could be residue from the new MBRP system. Several members responded and I want to thank them for that, WCounts recommended that I check my turbo return oil line, to make sure it was not obstructed. When I went to do that I found oil all over the oil return line and the turbo is leaking between the turbine wheel housing and the exhaust flange.
This is really disappointing ,as the turbo has only 1000 miles on it at the most since I installed it. I will be speaking with Industrial Injection in the morning, and will get to see first hand if their customer service lives up to it's hype. they appeared very informative and helpful when I purchased it so I have no reason to believe they will not take care of me now. I will let you know!
This time I will remove the exhaust manifold and turbo as a unit, it has to be easier. Are there any surprises I should be aware of, such as manifold studs in the water jacket or similar problems I may encounter? Again, THANKS to all the members who responded, you folks are great! Jess
