B&W Companion

What's the best price anyone has found recently on the companion 5th wheel hitch? I have a friend with a gooseneck hitch on a 2000 F250 and is looking for the companion. I can't believe how much they've gone up since I bought mine 6 years ago. Thanks

For a new Companion, check Tweetys and PPL for starters. Their prices are about as good as anyones, especially if you can catch them on sale. I have a local B&W dealer in the Cypress, TX area (NW of Houston) who is good about price matching, especially if you're just ordering the hitch (or parts) to install yourself - you can check B&W's website for local dealers.

By the way, the NEW Companion model is rated at 20K versus the older Companion at 18K. Be sure you know what you're getting - I upgraded to the 20K for the new 5th wheel RV. The 20K has a different adapter post and base design - the head didn't change.

You won't find much price variation, B&W doesn't let their vendors get in the cut throat pricing game.......... I got mine from SD Trucksprings, free shipping and a $40 off coupon of sort when I bought.

I do see used ones on craigslist occasionally. Last one I found was $250 and INCLUDED the turn over ball hitch for a second gen Dodge
