Don't know what the 2 04 means but, I'm running a B1 built by Ken down here in Phoenix. Have had this turbo for almost a year now, I like it, and think it works well all around. It's perfect for 450-500 HP apps. It spools up pretty quick (small puff of smoke, then gone), keeps EGT's cool, and is very drivable. I tow w/it and have NO EGT probs.

I am also running a kwikspool b-1,to see how the turbo would respond I took the ezee box off, much to my surprise the tubo worked like cummins put it on. We were all amazed,it was just stock fueling!!

Hey Olee, Richard (Gypsyman) at DTR just put one in and he is liking it very well. He has a very detailed write up about it.

Thanks for the info! I have little hands on with the 04 truck there is a B1-2 03 and B1-2 04 the 04 is a bigger exhaust housing. the 03 i think is a kwikspool exhaust housing. i have a few B1 turbos going to sale. just wanted to know thanks

Went to your web site. Looks nice. I like to deal with people near by. It may be still under construction but it would save you a lot of phone calls if you listed the prices.

Minor downpipe work from what I understand. The exhaust housing is about 1" longer (farther back).

Correct Scott, Although there are no mods needed. There is enough slack in the exhaust hangers to slide the entire exhaust back to make it fit. Other than that its 100% drop in. So it will probably make us happy to be able to keep our turbo mounted exh. brakes instead of having to go to an inline. :-laf

Also the new ones have internal wastegates that clear the side of the block now. I think they are regulated for break in at 40 lbs.

A quick note on the B1-04. Lenny at Dyno-mite tested the -03 and the -04 version for drive pressures. He said the drive pressures were still too high on the -03 version. The B1-04's that he is selling (and just installed on my truck) was the only version he tested for Ken that had 1-1 drive pressures up to 40-45 lbs and was still a direct drop in.

Don't thank me. All the thanks go to Lenny at Dyno-mite Diesel. He spent many hour testing different configurations for Ken at TAD. A big thanks from me also goes to Ken for taking the time to have the compressor housings custom cast just for our application.
