Could someone measure the LENGTH of the exhaust end of their B1.

I got the EX4 so I could do a regular HX40 downpipe, but I had to modify the heck out of the downpipe. I understand the exhaust end of the B1's has changed from 4. 25" to a shorter 2. 50". Is this true?

Thanks,

Bob Weis

Do you mean difference between the Ex4 housing and the standard B1 housing? I also have the Ex4 housing and the downpipe fit perfect

I have one of the early KSB1-B and the turbine housing outlet is longer than the housing used now.

The early guys had a heck of a time getting the downpipe on. The instructions were something like "cut 2 1/2" off the downpipe top end, then weld a 3/4" flange on" and of course it never fitted quite right.

To change the housing for the correct one is about $600. I might take it to a machine shop and get the B1 clamp flange moved toward the turbine 1. 75". They would have to be extremely precise to get it right and square though.

Ah well, ATBGO (And The Beat Goes On)
