I've read some posts saying some great things about the B1 turbo, I have searched the forum and have not been able to find a whole lot of info. I plan on adding mach 4's and studs with the turbo. I have not been able to find a vendor either any help or info would be great thank you.

B-1

I've been running one on my 12 valve for about 3 years now. I've seen as high as 53 psi (non-wastegated). The turbo "lights off" at about 1700 rpm with a cam and some head work.

The original B-1's have become a bit dated technology wise but still a good stout turbo. They are based on the Schwitzer S-300 turbo. Most of the aftermarket turbo's availible today are using the S-300 as a starting point with a variety of different compressors, tubine wheels and housings availible. :D

Is anyone still selling them or were they replaced with something else, I eventually want to get power by pooles twins which is why I want the B1. thanks for all the info.

There is one of the rebuilder shops that work S type turbines and will take your S-300 and rebuild it or change it into what ever you want that will work with a S-300. I think just a center bearing package change is prety reasonable.

Seems like II or Piers, check with OPoole, Rip Rook, those type guys.
