SlowKurt:p :p set me straight... Yogi bought the injectors but hasn't installed them.

It's nice to hear that the 275's will spool it though. I wouldn't know, I went straight for DD3s. I'll be changing those out in a day or so, with any luck, for some real shower heads:D

Greg, don't feel bad he's been burried under the hood of a few dozen Dodges lately.

Mark, you ll need those showed heads on Sunday, I hear there is an old, tired, worn out, 200,000 mile 12 valve looking to kick some 24 valve arse.

Don~

well, unless you're gonna crank out over 450 i'm safe;)

I'm hopin the cam is gonna help a lot. the shower heads should be 200+ hp over stockers vs the 100hp I have now. We'll find out what the B1 will crank out.

He waited to install the injectors so he could get reliable Performance #'s from a turbo (MT-6) he is testing for me.

If you change more than one componet you really don't know what made the difference in Egt's, Spool up Etc...

We may install the DD2's when he come's back thru. . I will either put a B-1 back on or I may change the Housings (Faster Spooling and higher midrange / cruise Boost) on the MT-6 and have him drive it some more... . Or have him run the B-1 with the KSB-1 housing for the automatics to see the Egt's difference at Cruise and WOT... I suspect better mileage, faster response but a decrease in over all EGT reduction. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!  :D

Mark, Don.....

This a #2 only battle? Or all out power battle? I'm afraid all I can muster is some #2... ..... I'll race ya at the dragstrip tho!

HeheheOo.

Im drug free, at least for now. Young kids across the street has a big Nitrous kit for sale. If I can get some cash scraped up I might buy it.

Hey guys, how do you get your trucks to run so hot?

I pull a 28' combo gooseneck and I have to really look for a big hill to climb to get the temps to climb. What seemed to make the biggest difference was the new boost module/elbow. That combined with removing the muffler/resonator and the silencer ring and going with a free flow air filter, means I have trouble, of a sort, getting over 750 post turbo.

This all seems a lot cheaper than a new turbo.

Turbo Horseman,

I would say that most of us are way past that. I too can pull my 28 foot stock trailer loaded to the hilt with horses (5 or 6). My egt's are never in a danger zone when towing. If you add the injectors, a power edge comp box set on 5x5 and WOT for a while you too will see high egt's. I can hit 40 psi for a second on the HY 35 Turbo. Need more air to go with all that fuel.

Heat is power,,

I am reporting 1500* EGT in 5th gear unloaded,, but that's going from 60MPH to 90MPH in just a few seconds.

When I was pulling our 20K gooseneck I hit 1800* with my COMP on 5x5 (120HP) and DD1's (55RWHP).

So with a stock truck EGT is not a prob and a bigger turbo isn't going to do much at all for you.

But somebody trying to put out nearly double the HP of the HX-35's intended HP range is going to build some heat.

My $. 02
