Had to take my Baby to Cummins of Cumberland today, she had no power even after replacing the transfer pump and fuel filter. I'm realy worried about what could be wrong because this shop charges $68 an hour on labor. It will only run like it is at 1/4 throtle and coming off the entrance ramp to get on expressway it took for ever to get up to 70mph, usually does it in about 8 to 10 seconds. The guys at Cummins think it might be throtle position sensor but not sure till they test it. Was wanting to know if you guys had any other suggestions to my problem? Any opinions would help if not to fix it but just to make me feel better.

What a bumer!:(

Thanks

Is it an automatic. I had a simular problem, about a year ago. I had it hauled to Dodge, it was the valve body in the transmission. They fixed it and the way I went, good as new.

Does the 24V have boost feedback? When I lost the connection to the AFC on my 12V, I had a great truck that would go from 0 to 60 in the same day!

Perhaps the system thinks there's no boost, thus it won't allow full fueling.

Got my truck back today and it was a falty waistgate sensor, part was only $48. 00 and it was even covered under warranty. I now know if something ever hapens to my truck again I will just take it to the guys who know what they're doing. Don't even bother with the dealer they ain't worth a sh@*.

Very glad not to have to drive the Corsica any more and hope to never drive it again.

Man you realy don't know how loud a cummins with a strait pipe is till you get in concrete block building while she's on the dino. What did you say?:D

Wastegate sensor? Not being a smarta$$, but there's not a "wastegate sensor". How about MAP (manifold air pressure) sensor? Or maybe the wastegate actuator? Where was the part located on the truck?

Just curious. Thanks.

My bad, it was the boost presure sensor and a bad fitting in thewastegate actuator. I didn't know I had to be technical. All i know is the truck run like sh@#. and now it kicks a$$. It is the little round disk looking thing on the side of the turbo chargerkind of brass in color, sorry if thats not technical enough for you;);) ;)
