hey there folks.. I used to come on here years ago.. I had an 89 C&C I built from the ground up...it ran great and got really good fuel mileage .. put an NV4500 in which I loved... I now have a 98 with a 47RE .. I put 3000RPM springs in the pump and ground the plate like a #100..using a 16cm housing, put in a lower stall converter single disk, transgo TFOD kit...and some billet servos and accumulator, stronger band strut..I have the line pressure up quite a bit running tractor oil in the trans... the transmission is working pretty well but Im thinking of going through it... Im thinking of using this kit...http://www.ebay.com/itm/370622846901 I doubt Ill go bigger then a HX35/40
I dont know if I can get my old account stuff back... both names I tried it said were used (Im sure they are mine) but I dont remember the email I had then...
Ill contact the admin and see if i can get my old username back

anyway.. nice to be back...
take care

thanks man :) I really loved my first gen.... and I like this truck allot too... it is a C&C 10 foot flatbed base truck with crank windows :) I tabbed the pin and had to fix the oil leak near the PS pump common to this truck.... I put in a converter lock switch today after work and freaking love it.... moderate throttle locked upshifts are really nice... I may have to add a billet input shaft with the powerpack clutch set :) my tuck is pretty mildly tuned at this point and Im not too worried about breaking it but if it breaks Ill just make it stronger... I also have some 3:73s Im going to put in .. it has an LSD that seems to be working well... spins all 4 rears in first under the right conditions on pavement ... my old truck got close to 20 mpg loaded on the highway and this one gets about 14 hopefully the gears will help with that
have a great weekend
BTW my old username was jstoll

I don't recall you from then, but welcome back anyway ;)
Some changes but lots still the same. Still a great place to walk the barn.

Welcome home! I've come come and gone over the years, but I too, always come home. TDR is, in my opinion, a national treasure.

so whats next is I have a thin 3:73 gear set .. I bought used on ebay... the seller dident wrap the pinion well and id did make some contact with the ring gear but nothing I couldent clean up ... I have to get the a bearing set coming... when I look on ebay there are a couple of pinion bearing ODs they list for the model 80 .... does anyone know what R&P install set to get or a good place to get one reasonably priced? ... after that Im going through the trans with the red eagle power pack clutch sets and that should be griptacular :)

have a great night
