Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a "Back Rack" cab guard for my truck, any suggestions on a good price for this? Or do they really all cost the same no matter where I look? Sometimes I don't even shop around anymore cuz shipping here is always killer! Oh well, anything you guys can tell me would be appreciated, Thanks!

Back here in New England it seems the price is fairly uniform - Western performance, Truckguys, etc. I've had on for several years and generally am pleased. Recently the backing plates and hardware to the bed have started losing the paint, probably due to winter road salt (don't think you'll have that problem ;). If they would make a stainless backrack (hint) I would probably have bought it!!

Here is one place that makes headache racks. The construction is good and detail is excellent. I was at the factory a few weeks ago having a flatbed installed.

Just scroll down on the first page about 2/3's of the way. Then click on Guardian Headache racks.

Hey Thanks for the info, I'm going to contact them and see what they can do for me. Only thing now, I have to look for a tool box that mounts in the space in front of the wheel well, I don't want a cross box anymore, I want to be able to use the Back Rack, and the full length of the bed. Thanks again bro!

Ok guys, here's where it might get a little weird. I've been looking at the Back Rack all week, I want to get one, but I kinda don't want it exactly as it is. Doesn't make since huh. Here's the deal, I like the Back Rack, BUT, I don't like the flat metal piece running through the main part and out each side. Does anyone know if there is a similar rack that basically frames the shape of the cab with nothing obstructing the windows. I know it defeats the "guard" purpose, but what I really need is the securing feature. Wish I could weld! Any fabricators out there?? Sorry, PM me I don't want to break forum rules, Sorry Steve... .

Thanks for any help guys... ...
