back seat removal

Insulating the back wall, is there any trick to getting the back seat out other than the 4 bolts on the bottom. Will that quiet things down some?

Having done this BOMB, the only way to access the rear wall is to remove the bolts on either side holding the seat to the floor, then lift up on the back of the seat to clear the attachments on the rear wall. Then the whole seat can be removed easily. It's really not a bad job at all. What are you going to use for insulation?

Kurt has it right. I put Dynamat on mine, it did help some. You'll need a small roller to roll it down in the grooves, i may go back and carpet it later, I did notice small reduction in the exhaust drone?! 4" pipe with straight thru Walker and BD mufflers.

My seat came out the same way as described. I would suggest using a product called brown bread, way cheaper than dynamat and you dont have to roll it as hard as the dynmat. I applied two layers to the back of the cab, doors, floor, and installed an accustic mat under the floor worked very well. A fried with a CTD immediately noticed the difference.

Going to an a/c wholesale house for insulating wrap. Should I consider the front firewall and or floor?
