Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) back up and running...

Finally got my truck into a dealer that knew what the crap they were doing, took the mechanic 90 minutes to determine that my VP44 and APPS did indeed need replacing. This after the other 2 dealers told me that they couldn't diagnose the problem correctly with my Banks stuff (intake and turbo) on the truck... said it was pushing too much boost and messing up their parameters for correct diagnosis. BS!!!! I firmly believe now that they simply didn't want to work on it since it was still under warranty... . The kicker was that I was expecting to have to pay for the APPS b/c the other dealers told me it wasn't covered under the 5/100k warranty... yet this dealer covered it!!! So now I've got to sit down and compose an email to these other 2 dealer expressing my sincere disappointment in their quality of service... . that should prove to be interesting... .

Glad to hear you're back on line. Might include in the message that their Technicians have something to be desired.
