Back-up camera extention ?I

i have 2010 3500 laramie with factory back-up camera. i will be hauling a slide-on lance camper. hate to lose the camera. dealer has no clue. . any ideas??

Can you buy another camera without the tail gate handle from Dodge? I assume it must have a plug just under the box for removing the tailgate. If this is the case I would buy another camera and make a mount for it on the back of the camper and extend the wires on the camera you mount on the camper to reach the plug under the box. That way all you have to do is plug and play when loading and unloading the camper.
