I have a wireless that I ordered as an option. It helps some for backing but I really like it to see my RZR on the trailer I tow behind. It is also useful for changing lanes in traffic as it is easier to know when I am far enough ahead of the passed vehicle. I usually set the monitor in the console where I can see it.The audio is of some use if there is no wind. Wind just makes a lot of noise.

How long is your trailer? Which model camera? I want to do the same thing (keep an eye on my RZR behind my 5er), while I haven't looked into it much yet, the wireless ones I have seen do not have the range to be mounted on the rear of my 33 ft trailer.

My trailer is 38' long.I would have to look to get the name but I think it is a Camos. The transmitter is located in the front basement of the trailer and is probably hard wired to the camera. This was factory installed so was easy to wire. Another thing I do is I have a sight rod on my RZR trailer that I can see them in the mirrors. This way I at least know the trailer is there plus it helps for backing.

Thanks, I'll have to look into that......I also want to keep an eye on our mtn bikes when we have those mounted in the rear......in fact I'm more worried about them.

I have been married for 45 years and I learned long ago that she is always right even when she is wrong.

We have worked out a set of hand signals so this is what I watch for in backing up.

Jim this works GREAT!! if the one giving the hand signals ISNT STANDING BEHIND THE TRAILER or MOTORHOME, I must be getting old I have lost the
ability to use my XRay vision.

We have come to at least a better idea of her standing to the side and looking at me look at her in the mirror and all she has to do is keep me from backing to far, I WILL WATCH THE SIDES OF THE UNIT.

As far as a camera, while on this trip I have come to the conclusion that PEOPLE HAVE LOST THE ABLITY to drive anything other than their head up their XXX and they seem to be able to accomplish that task with regularity.

I have bought a Dash cam, I read that it can be placed at the rear of the unit to be a backup camera as well.

Shad look some of the mounting options for a similar size tablet. There are a lot of suction cup mounts used in the ag industry for various tablets, maybe you can find one that is close to the same as your display.
