2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Back up light Switch

Does anyone know where the backup light switch is on an 02 automatic. I have an 01 shop manual and there is no mention of any back up light switch that I can find.



Problem is my wifes truck, she has to jiggle the shift lever to get light to come on and hold the lever in place for them to stay on.



I know some one has had this problem in the past, please head me in the right direction.

My repair guide calls it the Neutral Safety switch on an automatic. It looks to be located on the driver's side of the transmission, the horizontal, rearward facing plug closest the edge of the transmission, above the pan.



It says to test the switch, continuity should exist between the two outer terminals when in reverse.
