Does anyone know how to find the back up lite switch? My backup lites have quit working and I've checked the fuse and it's ok, but no power to the lite. So I'm assuming its the switch, but I can't find it.
On a manual the switch is on the upper drivers side of the transmission about 6" forward of the shift lever. You can remove the connecter right at the switch and short the connecters on the wiring together to see if it is the switch or some other part of the circuit causing the problem. The wires to the switch are violet/black and brown/light green. It is a positive path switch with no relay. I'll bet your problem is a bad ground at the light area though. There is also another connection at the trailer jack that could be loose/corroded.
