Back up lights on 03

[Slow Six]

The back up lights on my 03 have stopped working completely. Some time ago they were slow to activate and a little later they would come on and go off as I was backing up . The problem has gotten worse and now they do not work. I am suspecting the switch at the transmission but I would like to know for sure before I order one and try it as they are a little pricey. There were some posts a while back on this topic but no one has replied as to how the problem was solved. I have been to busy to spend any time on this so any advice would be helpful. I did check the connections on the transmission and they are okay.

Many have failed. Back up switch on trans. Just had mine replaced

Mine just went out and I was LED's for my back up lights , very low current draw
