back-up lights sense wire!

On a 3500 HO with 48RE, can the back up light sense wire be tapped into under the dash and which one?.

Looks like the closets spot is in the 6-way transmission range connector. It is Pin 4 VT/BK wire and the connector appears to be located on the driver's side of the transmission.

If that does not work, it looks like you'll need to extend a wire to the back of the truck.
