Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) bad alt?

so my truck chuggs like a freight train when i come to a stop. i adjusted the valves and the problem went away for a while. changed the crank sensor and went away for a while. adjusted fuel pressure went away for a while. all of them had the problem come back. its bad enough some times to kill the motor. i noticed today and yesterday that when it does it the volt guage reads on the lowest white hash line. now this seems to only be when the ac on. ac on truck chuggs ac off truck doesnt chugg and havent really checked voltage but i think its normal

Are you sure the a/c compressor isn't failing/locking up?

ac blows cold could freeze you on a 100 degree day and i dont hear any belts slipping when it happens. also it doesnt always do it some times it runs smooth
