after doing all the bombs to my truck i now have to figure out a way to slow it down better. the brakes on my truck are very stiff. i recently changed the fluid and bled all of them which made no difference. if i use the pump the break pedal 3 times pretty quick i cant push the pedal down at all and the truck doesnt slow down, feels like i dont have any brakes. this is a problem if i am in a traffic jam. i have no idea what it could be. all the pads and drums are fairly new. has to be something in the master cylinder area or maybe even the calipers or wheel cylinders. has anyone else had a problem similar to this. any help would be great.

I just did new rotors and pads, drums and shoes on my '96. Bled the brakes thoroughly. My problem was the opposite. Truck stopped good but the pedal drifted toward the floor with any serious pressure at a stop sign. After power bleeding and some improvement I was told that this pedal drift is more a less normal with the brake boost system. If your pedal is not travelling at all maybe you're not getting any or not getting enough vacume boost. Did you notice much power increase with the fuel plate. Aren't 370 injectors a little much for just a fuel plate mod?

My pedal would go towards the floor slowly as well after i replaced the front pads. I replacedthe master cylinder and beld all as well and it still did it. I just lived with it as it would stop doing it after a couple of days. I found the braking power quite inadequate all around so i did the 1 ton rear cylinder upgrade. Holy crap what a difference!!!You can actually feel the rear brakes working now and the truck stops muccchhhhh better! I can actually get the antilock to actually work now were as before it would hardly even come on in snow. Best $28. 00 i've spent in a long time.
