changed the front pads in the 06 about 1000 miles ago, with EBS greenstuff and they are making a lot of noise just like the Hawks did....but did not turn the rotors, is that what needs to be done? they looked good...but cant figure out why they make that bad noise, unless it is the rotor that needs to be turned.....you would think it is metal on metal when i slow down...thanks

kind of hard to diagnose without actually hearing it but did you put any "disc brake quiet" on the back side of the pads?
If not try some of this. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/ac...268d?itemIdentifier=348169&_requestid=1425567

Disc brake pads have keepers that align the pads... and the caliper must float on the hold down bolts and casting... we always use a flapper wheel to remove any burs... rust... on all moving parts.. we use a brake quiet on the back of the pads... and a good anti-seize on the moving parts... a very light coating of anti-seize and we use a product that will withstand 500* F...

When we wash the trucks.. we make sure we wash out all the dust on the rotors and calipers....
