bad compruter?

so how do you check for codes? is it a sequence of ignition turns, or are you guys using a diagnostic tool?

Woops!! Mixing GM and DC codes again. The 12 on a Dodge computer is battery or computer disconnected.

just tried, can't connect to their server for some reason. i'll keep trying. will it tell me how to tell for SURE if i have a bad compruter or not? i guess the question should be if there is a code for a bad compruter? oh yeah, any update on the kind of signals the cps should be giving off?

tore into the vss tonight. removed from transfer case and attached a drill to the drive shaft. fastest the truck has EVER gone. so out came the gear from the tc. turns out the shaft had broken off in that thing. got a new vss and cps on the way from the dealer. we'll see what kind of problems that fixes. thanks for all the help guys.
