Competition Bad day at the track

Actually, no day at the track. It snowed 5", then melted the last two days with 60 degrees and rain. Finally, today it's nice and dry. The streets are dry, but in the middle of the track is a lake. So no running today:{



It supposed to rain Wednesday, which is the next test and tune, so I will let everyone know when I finally get to go to the track.

Reading about you going to the strip has got me getting the itch to go so I did some research and found out that there is a track about an hour and a half from the town where I live. Now if I can just get off on Friday..... 18 SECOND 1/4, HERE I COME!!!

The stakes are high this year! 14 seconds is a thing of the past for sure! I may have to change the brackets to >13. 99 and <13. 99 e. ts lol.

wxman, we going to see you up here this year for Thunder in Muncie??? You'll have to make your way up to Cynthiana to Black Mountain Diesel's grand opening. If Tom could have found a shop in Winchester, it would have been closer for you.



Justin, actually, I will be just down the street from Edgewater Friday night, but I won't have anything ready to race. I have to do a bunch of hauling so no tires. I will not go over 80 on these worn out m/t's! I should be able to run Wednesday unless it rains.

By the way, I'm thinking about running my VW TDI in the drags there. Will that be OK? It's not a truck, but it is a diesel.

Truck???

Went to edgewater Last night. There eas a 3500HD 2 wd dodge with the stright axle in the front, first one I have seen. But he ran the best of a 15. 20 he had some mods done and a clutch. But I think he could of ran better with some more practice. He said he was taking off in 3rd gear?? But I might just run the truck to see what it will do, High 18 hahahahah See you there ????Eric

DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS GOOD OR BAD, BUT I TOOK MY '91 TRUCK TO SATURDAY TEST & TUNE AT TRI-STATE MARCH 30 AND RAN A 17. 42... ... I DON'T THINK PEOPLE KNEW WHAT TO THINK WHEN THEY SAW THE BIG DODGE RUNNIN DOWN THE TRACK!

How is that track? I am going to race at the Chrysler Classic June 22nd there. They said if we can muster 20 trucks they would give us our own area, think you can get 5-6 diesel buddies together? I will bring the rest. Oo.

TRI-STATE IS ABOUT THE SAME AS EDGEWATER, I GUESS. I'VE RUN MY CAR AT BOTH AND CAN'T TELL ANY REAL DIFFERENCES. SHOULDN'T BE ANY PROBLEM GETTING A COUPLE OTHER DIESEL GUYS TOGETHER FOR THAT EVENT. SOUNDS LIKE FUN... LET ME KNOW THE DETAILS.
