My 2001 3500 had some play in the steering and I went to the local dealer, Zangara Dodge here in Albuquerque. The service rep was a snitty fellow that quoted me the Dodge rules on warrenty service for steering problems. They did an alinement, but didn't cure the problem. Since I work in Santa Fe, I took it to Santa Fe Dodge. I discribed the same problem to them. The service rep, Tom Pappas, was friendly and listened to me. I got a call at 11:30 am saying that my truck was fixed. They replaced the steering box under warrenty because the Pitman shaft had to much end play. They even checked the alinement. They knew what they were doing and had the part on hand. The problem was solved. Much better service than Zangara Dodge. If you are in this part of New Mexico, give Santa Fe Dodge a try.
