My gauge will quit working if I hit a big bump or go off road. It then reads full for a tank or two. I actually ran my truck out of fuel. First time ever for me. 3 quarters of a million miles and I finally was walkin down the road with a gas can. I was doin 80 on the highway when it sputtered. I shut it down immediately cause I knew what was up. I was getting close to the mileage I had calculated for my next fuel up. I coasted about a half a mile. Had to bleed the air out of it for 15 mins.

Is there any quick fix? I did a search and the fuel pressure gauges muddled the results.

Sounds like you will have to replace the sender in the tank , drop tank when almost empty ,or raise the bed ether way not easy or quick . Winter will be here for you soon . Get it fixed or carry extra diesel in a can or tank . Lots of luck Ron Bissett in Metro Louisville KY:D
