Bad Fuel milage

I have a friend in the Tdr, thats needs our help. She is frustrated because her 1ton dually 5. 9 only has been getting 10-12 mpg. The only mods that she has is rv injectors, I dont know which ones. I recommended to her for me to install my stock injectors in her truck to see if that helps, I cant really think of anything else. I had to tell her, that I am much better at power than economy tweaks. IShe would really apreciate any input that you have.

I thought that the RV injectors were an ISB only thing... you might want to post this on the ISB section of the TDR...

Was the truck purchased used?

More specifics are needed.

I assume you posted this in 12v because she has a 12v? Is the low mileage accompanied by low power? If so start with basic maintenance items



fuel filter, heater strainer, boost leaks, air filter, overflow valve, have fuel pressure checked, valve adjustment,



Check for leaking fuel return line



RV Injectors... . hmmmm... Did they mess with the stock fuel plate, whats its position, how about AFC housing position. Full forward will lower mileage.



Does she have over size tires??. Is she correctly compensating for that in the calculations??

Boost and pyro.

Is that 10 to 12 mpg empty?
