Bad Glass???

The dealership called me crazy, but the more I hear from people around there might be an issue that has been under-radar. I have owned 7 pickups and had many chances to break a window, it has never happened untill now, the rear-driver side door glass in my 2011, before it had 1800 miles. I suspect a problem in the Tempered glass, since then I have found out 4 other 2010-2011 pickups with replacment glass. My question is, has anybody else seen a trend in 4th gens?

Used to see it every summer in exteme heat when the windows were tightly shut not as much these days

Got 35k on my '10... sits in the extreme heat 100+ to extreme cold -5... glass is still in one piece. . guess yer just lucky... heh

Some of the 3rd gen Mega Cabs had that issue as well. I own one.



Right rear window just simply started to crack, no impact or anything like that. I didn't realize they were tempered/laminated just like a windshield until that happened.



$300. 00 bucks later I had it fixed.



They probably have another batch of substandard glass on the loose.
