Just trying to get a couple answers about a bad HPFP I just purchased, but have gotten the run around, seems fass customer service is non existent to the public. Hopefully I can get an answer out of diesel-dan. Not bashing DPP/fass at all, I currently run the 95gph HPFP and am very happy with it, no problems what so ever. I decided to go with the 150gph, made the purchase over the internet, received the pump, swapped the 2 pumps out, the 150gph leaks out the weep hole like no tommorrow. Fuel pressure jumps between 12-17psi, gauge is in perfect working condition. Same exact set up as the 95gph, made no changes. The pump was on the truck running for less than 5 min, leaked at the start. Removed and put back in the box. Contact the dealer that sold me the pump, he stated that DPP wanted a $350 core charge and for me to ship the pump back at my cost to replace it. Now apparently they will take back the broken leaking pump, shipped back at my cost and rebuild it and send it back to me. How about just a replacement sent to me with a return label? that has been my experience with Piers, DD, Pacbrake. I attempted to contact DPP directly by the number provided but they will not let you talk to a customer service rep to answer my ?'s. I would like to know why is it leaking from the weep hole, and I want to be assured that it will be replaced or repaired properly. If repaired what exactly is the problem. I have no problem sending this pump back, just looking for more direct answers. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I posted this ? on the forum because I read in a previous post to place all ? to diesel-dan on here and not to email him.

Let me express once more I have nothing at all against FASS/DPP I think there pumps have put the rest to shame, just want a direct answer from the source themselves. Thanks Dwayne.

Diesel-Dan

I wonder what caused this problem. I was fortunate to get a great one with no problems at all from out of the box.

Diesel-Dan was much help to me. If he doesn't help you it must be because he doesn't like you. J/k. I have had some people tell me they don't ike dealing with DPP, because they are hard to deal with. Dan took care of me and I have no complaints.

Will it has been 1 week now and no help, I guess I'll take my chances and send it back, see what happens. Kind of sucks spending $430. 00 on a pump sending it to who knows were and who knows who and hope you get it back in working condition, a new one, or at all. I figured I would get some answers on here by now. Dan if you read this please let me know whats up, Purchasing a bad pump would lead me to believe it should be replaced by a brand new working one, not a rebuild. Dont want a $430. 00 diesel smelling paper weight. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Why is a new pump leaking from the weep hole, started immediately, only on truck for 5 minutes.

Your customer service comes from where you buy the pump. Who did you buy your pump from they should be takeing care of you.

Will Diesel Dan did contact me on the other post, and my dealer has been taking care of me so far. Things are looking better, thanks for the help Diesel Nut. Look forward to hearing from you again Diesel Dan.

Great, Now I am not worried. Sorry was just frustrated at the start. Your 95 pump has been working great so I should be happy with the 150 when I get it back. Thank Dan for the reply, and yes everyone is human. What pressure should see out of this pump, would like to see a little more than my 95 which has been around 16 down to 14 cruise and 11wo. This is without my hrvp wire tapped box ddufm drag on 2.

I appreciate the help, and once again did'nt want to create any waves. Dwayne Oo.

Awesome, thanks a bunch, could you let me know why it was leaking?? Also what pressure should I see out of this pump compared to the 95. I would like to tap my wire now, acutally I have the pump cover already in place just need to plug in the wires. Thanks again dan for your help. Sorry if it sounded like I was bad mouthing your business. Oo.

last three FASS pumps (without the filters) have leaked like crazy out the weep hole. They says it is a bache of bad seals. I say "par for the course"
