bad injection pump ?

I purchased a 92 intercooled for a service truck on our farm 270000 miles ran good for about a week. I did all filters and fluids right from the get go. Pulling a load of grain from one feed lot to another and it died. I had just filled with good clean fuel double filtered but it clearly ran out of fuel. I bled the primary system, no air, no fuel leaks. I bled the system at the injectors, all air bubbles. If I leave 3 Lines loose it will build enough fuel pressure to fire but not run, bad pump? Should I replace with OEM or other, should I replace primary pump at the same time? I think it is all original. Thank You. Alan

Sounds like the fuel shut off solenoid is at fault. You can take is off with a 15/16 open end wrench and remove the valve, replace the solenoid and see if it runs. You will have to use the manual kill lever on the side of the pump to stop the engine.
