Have 4000 miles on new truck and it started losing power, would not go over 71 mph pulling 5er. Took it to the Dealer, they hooked up fuel gauge, 15 @idle, 4@ WOT. Service said lift pump is bad and ordered a new one. Will be installed Wednesday.



Kudos to Curtis Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge in Cass City Mi.

Let us know if that fixes the problem... ... 4 psi, though under the minimum requirements, should not effect power. Just my opinion from my experiences. :)
 
Chipstien, will do, when I pull the 5er again in two weeks. Have to say though, all of the hose clamps were REAL loose, so maybe that contributed to the problem also.

Those hose clamps...

that you are talking about, I assume you are talking about the 8 that hold the hump hoses from blowing off between the turbo and intake manifold. They are a "twice-a-year" maintenance item for me.
