On a 2001, 02 it's on the drivers side rear of the block. If it's malfunctioning unplug it first and apply some dielectric grease to the contacts. Worked like a charm for me. Sometimes the grease dries out and the connection is lost and codes are set.

Go ahead and yank it out and clean it too. That may help as well. I believe you will need an inch and 1/8 deep well to remove it.

I just replaced mine in an 02... it uses an 1 1/16 deep socket. 1 1/8 worked on the old one, but the new one has the shoulders ground off, so it has to be exact fit.

Tried to get it from Dodge under warranty, but they ordered the wrong one twice. Finally got it from Hoesli Diesel, who mentioned that they've changed the pin setup on all the new ones for my year and I had to purchase an adapter pigtail, which had a coil wrapped around it, I guess for RF suppression.

The MAP sensor isn't all the way at the back, there's an IAT sensor at the very back. MAP is just behind the fuel filter, just ahead of the #6 cylinder. There's a pic of that side of the engine posted somewhere here on TDR. Anybody know where that's at?
