Bad mouthing Banks?

Being new to TDR, I've been trying to educated my-self on what performce box to go with. I have no intensions of going w/ a box that just increases fuel pressure. Looking for a little extra power when pulling my trailer, and to increase mileage. I'm also thinking of installing an after-market two speed, is it worth it?



What's the best bang for the buck?

Quadzilla has a new box that may suit your needs. I just ordered one, it should be shipping out soon. My take on it is that it works like a Banks box, with some timing, some duration, and some pressure, but at a safe level--below 26k.



There was a thread on it, but it was deleted. Perhaps there will be some new info when the Beta test guys are allowed to talk.



It's priced in the Edge EZ range, so it appears bang for the buck is good.

I've checked with two companies that install "Performance Boxes" and they both mentioned that TST was TOO much! Nothing but problems with the units they've installed. Keep in mind I'm in the COLD. Minnesota and South Dakota are not exactly tropical.

thats because stupid people put the box on and turn it to 9/9 and then blame the box for the stock turbo going boom at only 60 pounds of boost (and 100psi of backpressure) .
keep your fingers of the little buttons after you set for say 4hp and 2 tq and all will be .
later when you want a big turbo,or twins you can turn box up and NOT have to buy a second box!

Yep, The TST can make things go bang alright :-laf Serously though, other than possibly the Juice for the 04. 5's which is relatively new and yet unknown it is the best box out there IMHO. It has way more potential than a stock truck can handle but excercise a little self control and you'll be very happy with it. Settings to tow, settings to play, settings to blow things up, just decide what you want to do today

Tlee and Jcleary - I'm beta testing the new quad module and I think you'll be pleased you waited. So far it's awesome, I've put about 2000 miles on it. Also the install is extremely easy. I can't really divulge any further details. .

Go to ATS summit pic and go to sick_rams turbo and you will see the power of the all mighty TST!!!!! 50 psi out of a stock turbo is a little much they don't like it to well. This is by far the best Bomb I have done so far

If you have a problem call em' they will hook you up I've heard 100's of story's where they have went above and beyond to satisfy there customers.

It's not a question of above and beyond in the customer service department, it's the fact that they've spent nearly two years telling us the juice for the 03-04's would be out "next month" or "in two months". Had they said next year more people may have waited but being lied to time and time again drove many people to other companies for their third gen boxes. You're right though, they do have good customer service.

well I guess them waiting and not releasing a product there not 100% satisfied with is a good thing ... . but they should tell you that



Another thing is I have ran the DRAG,and the comp and I could'nt tell A diffrence... . I heard that the drag will not defuel and the comp will

$99 more for the drag just so ya know.

I hear you, SRadke. I just spoke with them a couple days ago and they said "Soon. It has been a tough engine to work the bugs out of. "

I guess I have mixed emotions about it. On one hand, it's cool they won't let a buggy product out the door. On the other hand, good customer service organizations know how to set expectations so they can exceed them. This "2 months, 2 months" carrot that they've been dangling for well over a year now is becoming insulting.



If it's going to be 2 weeks, tell us a month! If it's going to be 6 months, tell us 8 months! If it's going to be when hell freezes over, tell us! We're grown-ups, we can handle it.



One things for sure though, even if they won't admit it, they've pretty much abandoned development for our engine. They're team has moved on to the newer and sexier engines I guess (emotionally anyway). I think they should just come out and say, "Don't hold your breath".



18+ plus months of "Working the bugs out" while the newer boxes continue to hit the market? Honestly...
