Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I was backing out of the drive this morning in my 04. 5, 3500 4X4and I - while not paying attention - backed onto the wall of rocks that bprders both sides of the drive (pretty, but a PITA). I hit just right for cutting the sidewall... . Psssssss... ... Down she went - driver side rear, flat as hell.
Anyway, when I changed my $200 screw up for the spare, I noticed that there was a great deal of grease on the rim (backside). Turns out that I have a bad seal on my drivers side rear differential after only 4,000 miles.
Oh what a day!
