i have a question i have a piers hx35 w/14cm housing 4in. straight pipe blue chip FMs box auto with 3. 54 gear box set at 30% (stock trans) the truck Will not do a brake torque it blows black smoke like crazy but the motor don't get more than 2200 rpm's the tires don't even turn its like the engine is governed or something please give me some ideas on how to get the tires smoking any answers Will be great thanks Aaron

I have never heard of a bad stock transmission holding back the mighty Cummins unless you are at 8,000 ft or higher elevation. You are not getting enough air into the engine. Check air filter and for intercooler hose leaks.

It sounds to me like your torque converter is toast. If you drive down the road at say 45 mph and then stomp on the peddle do you accelerate or do the rpms climb with no noticable change in speed??? If its the latter then your TC is toasted.
