Bummer. They have very few issues with that engine package. I’m on the F150 diesel forum ( their TDR) and the trucks/ engine are holding up well. Far better than RAM’s Ecco diesel. Biggest issue was the EGR valve an Ford caught it early and had parts available quickly. Unlike RAM.
I hate to jump ship but my last two RAMs were poor at best. Not the quality of trucks I started my relationship with Dodge with. My 89 my 02 am my 05. I recently found a 91 W250 with only 95k miles an Ac was really tempted to go for it…

But it’s done. Really thinkin of taking the grand the driveshaft will cost an use it for a down payment on a F150 diesel. Have to see what my trade is worth.
Why should you really care what your truck is worth? If it’s created you that much misery over the last eight years.....simply dump it and run.

No way I’d let an inanimate object cause me so much pain and suffering.

Biggest reason it’s paid for. It been nice not having a note payment each month. I screwed up two years ago was offered a really good trade in and Ford had an incentive program that was worth 15k off the new truck. All the money I dumped into this truck in parts an tires. Had I tossed that into the new truck my payment would have been around 245 a month at 0% interest. . I was stupid. But new job new house new state I needed to keep budget under control. .

So lets say 2 months of payment for a new Truck, with full warranty of course versus 600$ in parts for a full paid truck.
Is it this really worth?

I'd really get a nice new all aluminum driveshaft now and call it good.

I totally understand your frustration with these ongoing repairs that shouldn't be needed but to stop right here and now seems wrong to me.

But it's your decision at all and I respect it no matter in which direction you turn.

not sure you guys visit the ram forum but there was a guy named something like rbinNC. anyways he bought a '19 or'20 2500 6.4. aparently there was something wrong in the steering wheel. a clicking sound or whatever. and supposedly there was some vibration when mds kicked in. one day he got sick of it and he was getting rid of it and buying a much better new superduty. he got a new ford alright. couple month later there he was on the ford forum with all kind of trans problems on his new truck:D:D:D

Just an update I found another driveshaft. Far less number and size of balance weights on this one. Truck is night an day different.. I almost like it again…. Almost . If my local dealer was able to locate a f150 diesel it would be gone. But those trucks are scarce like an Honest Politician…
