I was driving down I64 in Virginia (75mph) passing an 18 wheeler when I hit some rough pavement. My truck started to shake and vibrate bad. I somehow made it to the right shoulder without an incident. I got out and inspected all my rims and tires (ok), front right and left suspension (ok), no play in drive shafts. I climbed back in and finished my trip to include towing my wife’s horse to the vet. The truck drove like new. I have 44k, and have 6ply Brigestones( wife hated Michelins). The only other mod to my truck is a 250 front bumper, but it has been on my truck for over a year. Anyone have this happen?

Do a search on DEATH WOBBLE,lots of reading. Something in front end worn or alignment out or a tire problem. Probably something loose in front end or alignment(camber)

I had the same problem after hitting rough pavement. The truck would shake so bad that I would sometimes have to pull over in order for it to stop. Turned out my front shocks had worn out. I installed a set of Rancho 9000x's and problem solved. Truck rides even better now with the new shocks and my 35's. Hope this helps.

I got the shocks from Chris at 4wheelcustoms.com. Great price and great customer service.

I had the same problem happen 3 times in the past 2 months, twice in the past weekend. Couldn't figure it out, but scared the crap out of me. It felt like the entire front end was going to fall off!! I knew it was bad when people were looking back at me as they were passing. I did notice some cupping on the front tires this afternoon. Looks like a classic case of blown shocks.

Bring on the Bilsteins!
