Bad Vibrations

I have an 05, 3500, srw, 6 spd. every so often when I'am comming to a stop, shifted to neutral, and applying the brakes, The hole truck shudders, just before the truck comes to a stop, like I'am running over those grooves they put in the road to get you to slow down. Only there is no grooves. Can anyone tell me whats happening?

Sounds like it could be either worn U-joints or warped rotors. I'd have both of them checked.

Maby I should add that I get a similar shudder, but not as bad, when I accalerate in 3rd & 4th.

After you drive it crawl under neath and feel them. When my center joint went out it was Hot to the touch, that's how I knew which one it was.

The only way to tell without taking it off was the temp for me. It didn't feel bad as far as wiggling it or anything.

I went to Napa and bought the 230-188X I believe is the part #. It only has about 20K on it, but it is greasable. It can be a bit complicated to install as it is a hair bigger. What that meant was I had to grind the clips down by about . 010 each.



Do a search and maybe you can find what others have used. I believe that part # I gave you is the same as a precision 351.

went to dodge, still under warranty, their replaceing the u-joint and the front seal on the diff. thanks again for the help
