I have been having trouble with my truck and every one keeps telling me that the vp44 is going bad and that there are some options. I am looking for a hot rod vp and was wondering were is the best place to get one at a very fair price. I really don't want to stend more than i have to! is there any options to rebuild and up grade the factory vp44?
thank you for the help!!

From what I have been reading the hrvp is ok but your upgrades won't make as much of a diffirence with it. maby same top hp and tq. I am forced to replace my vp and am going to chip at blue chip for the pump because of the updates and the new fedx computer included in the price. I am also installing vulcan's bigline pusher kit to relocate the lp at the tank for more reliability (less heat and push fuel not pull) I live in ca also and no tax on vp from chip shipping is @ 45. 00 for 2nd day.

When my last VP-44 went bad I had Scheid Diesel put in one of there HP VP's and the truck has never run so good. Once it has warmed up it lopes at little at idle in neutral but idles fine in gear. Haven't got to the point to where I'm not playin with it all the time yet but it looks like I picked up some MPG with this pump too. The HP pump was about $500 more then a stock rebuild but you get a brand new pump housing in the deal too.
